Overview
These nine modules, each with a case study approach, on data-driven business decision-making strategies in merchandising, marketing and advertising, real estate and facilities management, supply chain, store operations, human resources and finance are intended to develop student skills in data analysis and spreadsheet use to help them develop skills in solving business problems.
The modules are designed to reflect and interpret a constructive pedagogy. By creating these modules in an online format, we wish to encourage students' self-directed learning, collaborative learning and self-assessment. When these modules are combined with in-class instruction, optimum learning outcomes may be achieved.
Learning Outcomes
Through engagement in these modules, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Develop progressive spreadsheet (Excel) fluency.
- Demonstrate competency in key numeracy and the analysis, synthesis and evaluation of data.
- Learn skills involved in communicating data clearly, concisely and compellingly.

Learn all the core concepts and retail math formulas required to complete the 9 modules.
